In practical applications, there are many reasons that can cause motor overload tripping, which can be roughly divided into the following categories:
(1) Motor overload and excessive current caused by various reasons;
(2) Current imbalance caused by voltage being too low or too high, phase imbalance or phase loss (including phase loss caused by contactor failure);
(3) The return air pressure is too low due to refrigerant leakage or pipeline problems, resulting in insufficient motor cooling;

(4) The winding insulation layer is damaged or the refrigerant water content is too high, short circuit burning, etc. In theory, the motor overload protector can effectively deal with the first two situations, and the thermal protector can deal with the first three situations. The "short circuit" in the fourth situation may be related to quality or installation, or it may be related to metal chips or too high water content in the refrigerant.
