Product Overview

  • Three-phase external

  • Automatic non-automatic reset

  • Current temperature type dual thermal protection

Scope Of Application

  • All kinds of three-phase motors, motors

  • Can be used to protect 1/8 horsepower-horsepower general three-phase motors, pneumatic motors, fans

  • Three-phase motors for commercial and industrial machinery

  • Compressors for air conditioners and refrigerators

  • Submersible pumps, well pumps and oil sump pumps

  • More applications

Principle Of Operation

The three-phase protector is composed of a molded phenolic resin base device, which contains three heaters and a snap-type bimetallic circular plate, welded with three silver contacts, the bimetallic plate is the neutral point of the motor, and three built-in A resistance heating wire, each heating wire is connected in series with a certain phase winding of the motor, and at the same time is connected with a contact on the thermal bimetal. When the disc is quickly broken due to overheating, the center line of the motor is opened, thereby cutting off the power of the motor. Dual voltage motors can be protected by a protector, as shown in the wiring diagram. For dual-voltage motors, high voltage is used for the protector, and low voltage is used to select the size of the protector according to the contact capacity.

Technical Parameters

Provide the following information when ordering engineering samples

Motor Power

  • Voltage, such as single voltage or dual voltage

  • The holding temperature to maintain the normal operation of the motor

  • Overload protection temperature

  • Locked-rotor current, trip time

Safety Certification

CSA:255988

Installation Method

The protector should be installed inside the motor and can receive the maximum heat generated in the running state or stalled rotor state from the windings. The best installation position depends on the structure of the motor, but generally speaking, this position can be an air cover, an end cover or a stator core.
