17AM Motor Thermal Protector

Design Principle

In the 17AM design, the steel shell supports and protects the internal components from impregnating paint leakage and mechanical external force damage. The core technology of the device is a calibrated bimetal disc, which is very sensitive to current and temperature. The fixed cuts and contacts welded on the metal sheet play a supporting role. The fixed silver contacts are placed on the corresponding steel shell, separated by a gasket paper with adhesive coating, so as to achieve insulation and sealing. The 17AM motor thermal protector can be equipped with wires and other integrated quick connectors or automatic connection systems. Customized wire equipment can be provided on demand. Since the thermal protector is made of metal, it is recommended to be insulated from other conductive parts. In addition, we can also provide insulating sheaths in a variety of materials and colors according to customer requirements.


The 17AM thermal protector uses the same snap action principle as other protectors. The bimetal can sense the heat and current on the equipment installed at 17AM. When the temperature of the metal sheet reaches the predetermined calibration point, the metal sheet quickly disconnects the contact, so that the current path is disconnected. When the equipment cools down and returns to the normal operating range, 17AM automatically resets and the circuit power supply is restored.

The 17AM thermal protector can prevent the motor from overheating and overcurrent. It is a miniature, sudden jump thermal device with reliable protection technology. It can protect the following equipment from overheating:
